Printing anything from a browser – articles, receipts, directions, etc – can be frustrating because what you want gets printed along with banner ads, page titles, and single lines of footer text, i.e. lots of paper and ink waste. Now, without a lot of trouble, you can select exactly what you want to print using a Bookmarklet called PrintWhatYouLike. You have the option to select different parts of a page to print, creating tidy and specific print results.
Bookmarklets are great because there is nothing to install, download or configure. Simply drag the application into your Bookmark Toolbar. When you are on the page you want to print, click on the Bookmarklet. A user menu appears in the left column of your browser providing selection options.
Computer weary eyes? Distracted easily? Discover Readability!
Readability is a bookmarklet, literally just a link you can drag into your bookmark toolbar, that when clicked on turns your browser page into a clean reading page sans ads or other distracting site specific elements. It makes reading articles or other text heavy content so pleasant, because your eyes and brain aren’t challenged by competing text, flashing banners, and the like. You can pick from a handful of layouts and font sizes to customize your reading and if you want to get back to the original browser page layout, a simple click reloads the content.
It really is refreshing. See for yourself by going here.

If you are like me you have noticed that every website out there just loves to put flash on their site. Wether it’s actual content or just ads, it can be very distracting and annoying. Not to mention that it can hog your processor and kill your battery faster if its running on your laptop. I know my usage is not normal, and yes I can have 50 tabs open in safari at any given time ( my record is 145). That can really take its toll on your computer. There is something you can do about it. Install flashblock.
Download ClickToFlash 1.4.2 here
Install it and restart your safari, then you will get a blank screen where ever there is flash on a web page, if you want to see it, just click on it and it will load.
